Christmas 2008

We had such a wonderful Christmas! I love how excited the kids get and spending lots of time together!

Here are the kids on Christmas Eve helping Travis make rice krispy treats for Santa. We always make rice krispy treats instead of cookies. We think that they are Santa's favorite!

On Christmas morning Logan was the first one up at 7:30! Abby was not awake and we made him wait until 8:00 to go and wake her up. He was going crazy! Not bad. I remember waking up much earlier!

Abby's Dance Recital!

Abby had her Christmas dance recital last Saturday. This is her 3rd dance recital so she is a pro. She did such a good job! We are so proud of her!

New Niece!

Congratulations Nate and Becca! Ellie Marie was born yesterday at 12:00. We are so happy that she is here safe and sound! We can't wait to see her in person!
We love you guys so much!

First Tag

I saw this tag on a couple of blogs and thought that it looked fun. It also was very easy. 4th folder 4th picture and then describe the picture.

My sister and I took the kids to St. George in May to visit our brother and his family. They took us on a fun hike they called "The Crack" my sister and I were a little intimidated by it so we met them at the top and got this fun picture.

Carving Pumpkins!

It has become a tradition to have the cousins over to carve pumpkins with us. Travis does a great job at getting everything ready. The kids love it. They have a great time picking out their pumpkin and then the pattern that they want.

UEA Weekend!!

Travis was hunting over UEA so the kids and I played a bit while he was gone.

Friday we went to the pumpkin patch with our good friends the Petersen's. Conner and Logan wanted to ride their bikes. So I rode with them. It was a lot farther than I thought. I was definitely out of breath by the time we got there.

Saturday was such a beautiful day! My neighbor Jeanne and I decided to take the kids for a hike. Logan did not want to go. I talked him into going by telling him he could invite his good friend Zac. They were not thrilled. Once we got up there and started to hike they were having a great time. They were catching grass hoppers and spotting lizards. The girls were troopers. They hiked the entire way without complaining.

Bear Lake

Every year my side of the family goes up to Bear Lake in October. We love it! Sometimes we have great weather, sometimes we have bad weather, sometimes we have a mixture. This year was a mixture. The day we got there was the best weather of the weekend. The sun was shining and it wasn't very cold. We took the kids to the pool first thing. Saturday was a total wash. It poured rain the entire day. The kids did not care one bit. They have fun no matter what the weather. They swim in it, play ball, ride scooters. The adults on the other hand are kind of wimpy. Sunday was a good day. The rain had stopped but it was a little cold. All the boys went four wheel ridding and shooting. Nobody took a camera so there are no pictures. Darn it! I was so mad. Monday of course was BEAUTIFUL! The day we were packing up and coming home. I did not take very many pictures this year. I was too busy trying to stay warm and dry.

Happy Anniversary!

Travis and I celebrated our 12th anniversary this weekend! We were married on September 27th 1996. I can't believe how fast the time has gone by. I am so lucky to be married to such a great man. Our first date! I bet Travis has no idea that I saved this ticket. We went to the rodeo in Ogden and then drove to Salt Lake and ate at the Spaghetti Factory.
Wow! I think that we both look about 12. Styles have sure changed.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ABBY!!

I can't believe that my baby is turning 4 today! It is so bitter sweet for me to have my kids getting older. I love to watch them grow and learn new things but there is a part of me that so wants them to stay little.

Daniels Summit Lodge

We decided that we need one last getaway before school started. We went up to Daniels Summit Lodge for a few days. We took the kids fishing at Strawberry Resevoir. Swam at the pool. Played games and watched movies. It was very simple but we had a great time. Nobody wanted to come home.
